The best way to reach Shimla Manali is by road. You can take a bus from Delhi or Chandigarh to Shimla or Manali. Both cities are well connected by road, Distance from New Delhi to Manali is 537 KM and it takes around 11 hours, Distance from New Delhi to Shimla is 344 KM and it takes around 7 hours to reach there, Distance from Chandigarh to Manali is 307 KM and it takes around 6.30 hours, Distance from Chandigarh to Shimla is 114 KM and it takes around 3.30 hours to reach Shimla. Alternatively, you can hire a private cab or self-drive to reach these destinations. The nearest airport to Shimla is Jubbarhatti Airport, which is 23 km away from the city. The nearest airport to Manali is Bhunter Airport, which is 50 km away from the city. However, these airports have limited connectivity, and it’s better to take a flight to Chandigarh or Delhi and then take a taxi or bus to reach Shimla or Manali. We can also visit both Shimla and Manali together, the Distance between Shimla, and Manali is 247 KM and it takes around 6 hours.
Best Time to Visit:
The best time to visit Shimla Manali is from March to June and from October to January. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and you can enjoy various activities such as trekking, camping, and river rafting. The summer months from March to June are perfect for adventure activities, and you can explore the scenic beauty of the place. The winter months from October to January are ideal for those who love snow and want to experience snowfall. However, due to heavy rains in monsoon roads may be blocked, so monsoon is not a good time to visit Shimla Manali and other hill areas.
