One can reach Kanha by Train or by air from different parts of India. Distances from Major Cities to Kanha are as under:-

By Road:-

Nagpur is around 300 Kms from Kanha and it takes around 6 hrs, Jabalpur and Raipur are around 200 Km and it takes around 4.30 hrs, Bilaspur and Bandhavgarh National Park are around 250 KMS and it takes around 5 hrs to reach Kanha.

By Air:-

The nearest airports to Kanha National Park are Jabalpur and Raipur airports, which are about 180 and 220 kilometers from Kanha respectively. The airport is well-connected to major cities in India such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. From the airport, visitors can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach the park.

By Train :

The nearest railway stations to Kanha National Park are Jabalpur and Gondia, which are about 190 and 145 kilometers away from kaKanhaespectively. The railway station is well-connected to major cities. From the railway station, visitors can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach the park.

Safari in Kanha:

The best time to visit Kanha National Park is from October to June. The Core Zone remains closed during the monsoon season from July to September. The park is open for visitors from sunrise to sunset, and visitors can go on jeep or elephant safaris during this time. The park is divided into Core and Buffer Zone, and visitors can choose to go on safaris in any of these zones. The safaris usually last for about three to five hours, Morning safari is for loa longer five hours and the afternoon safari is for 3 hours and visitors are accompanied by a trained guide who helps them spot wildlife.
